The S.P.I.T.™ (Small. Pocket. Inverted. Tanto.) is a variation of the beloved S.P.E.W.™ (Small. Pocket. Everyday. Wharncliffe.), designed by Alan Folts of Melbourne, Florida. With a shorter fixed blade than its cousin, the S.P.I.T.™ features enhanced portability, but it keeps the large handle for extra leverage when cutting.
CRKT INVERTED TANTO
The CRKT S.P.I.T. is a cool little fixed knife, designed by Alan Folts. The name already says it: the S.P.I.T. (Small Pocket Inverted Tanto), so it's a small fixed blade knife with a reverse tanto blade. Made for daily use. Like peeling an apple or carrying out tasks in the garage. Alan Folts is also the designer of the famous CRKT Minimalist collection. As such, this knife is enhanced with many of the design features we see for the Minimalist collection. But now slightly bigger.
The handle is impressive. Especially in this price range! It is made from stunning layered G10. The grooves in the handle provide you with additional grip and make sure that the layered G10 looks even better. The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV steel. A decent type of steel that is easy to sharpen. The spine of the blade is enhanced with jimping for your thumb. These are small grip serrations that give you more control.
You can easily take the knife with you in the included plastic sheath. You can use a neck cord to hang it around your neck, or use the included belt clip to hang it from your belt.
